  • Baba Yaga the Witch

As my Anouska story is about a little girl who gets carried away on Baba Yaga’s house on legs, I thought I should have a go at drawing the lady herself.

I wasn’t intending on drawing Baba Yaga like this, she just sort of evolved with the drawing.
Sometimes it just happens like that!

Also I changed her flying tub into a tea cup! For whenever she fancies a Witches Brew!

  • Anouska in the city

    Anouska in the city

A new image I am trying out for my new story about a little girl in Russia who finds a mysterious golden key:

Anouska wasn’t used to the city, all the people made her feel nervous and small, and worst still everyone she asked about the key just ignored her until she didn’t feel very grown up at all.
Still she was determined to find out what the key was for.
So instead of asking she tried opening.

  • Baba Yaga – New illustrations

Out of the hole in the side of Baba Yaga’s house tumbled several children who landed in the lake with an almighty splash.Image

The entire house trembled, plaster fell from the walls and they lifted up into the sky.

Below her under the house, and holding onto one of the vast legs of Baba Yaga’s house was the little boy.                     Image
